In July 2005, Stagecoach completed the acquisition of the entire share capital of Glenvale Transport Limited. Glenvale operated local bus services in Merseyside, having been formed in 2001 as a result of a management buy-in of Gillmoss bus depot from Arriva plc. Glenvale operated from two depots in Liverpool, at Gillmoss and Aintree, the latter closing during 2007. The fleet mostly comprised Leyland Titans and former Stagecoach Volvo B6s and Darts. Steps were quickly taken to inject new vehicles into the fleet to improve its age profile. Full details in this 2006 edition.
